Overview
The Polaris Slingshot was the first vehicle I worked on at Polaris. Prior to joining the company, the Slingshot was already slated to receive a 7” TFT touchscreen display from a 3rd party vendor. My task was to re-skin the existing UI, that was originally created and branded for an Indian Motorcycle, by replacing their existing asset library with our own assets. With these limitations, I was still able to transform their UI by carrying the industrial design elements into the visual design of the components, and using a light colored theme, I increased visibility in the daylight dramatically. The Slingshot Product Team was happy with the finished design, and it is currently shipping on the 2018 and 2019 Slingshot models.
