About me
I always thought that I would be an architect, and even spent a year of study in the architecture program at the University of Arizona. However, the Fine Arts department across the street was always calling for me, and I gravitated toward the Visual Communication program. There, I learned the fundamentals of traditional graphic design and illustration. Having good friends in the computer science department helped foster a curiosity in front-end development, and I quickly picked up web design as a hobby, which became a full time job after graduation.
Fast forward to today, and I am now a user experience designer based in San Jose, California. With over 20 years of experience in the design industry, working with companies such as Apple, Tesla Motors, Pinterest, and Polaris Industries, I’ve proven time and time again that good design leads to great success. An artist at heart, and designer by trade, I’m always looking for new challenges and inspiration.
When not designing, I enjoy reading, playing competitive tennis, riding my bike, and most of all, spending time with my wife and two daughters. Without them, I wouldn’t be the designer I am today.
